Graphics are ok... But, I think they could've done better! When you zoom in on a specific character, you can see that they are very jaggy...COME ON NINTENDO!!! YOU HAVE 64-BITS!!!! Also on the text, when they make it larger to show emphasis you can see every little square that makes it up! (This may be to save cartridge space so they can add more gameplay to it, but that's their fault for putting games on cartriges that don't hold much, instead of making them on CD's.) The polygons, however are great! Not a flaw.
Gameplay is very good. I like the spinny thing that Mario does when you hit Z. The game is also hilarious, because Mario is paper and they've pulled every joke they could about it. (Even not in the game! Nintendo sent me a postcard with a drawing of Mario and dotted-lines around him so you could cut him out, and it said "Free demo".) The gameplay is smooth and the battle system is great!
They probably could've done a bit better with the story, but, it's ok. I do like it because it doesn't stray too much from it's prequel Mario RPG. Bowser is back, but unlike in Mario RPG he's as evil as ever and yes, Peach has ONCE AGAIN BEEN CAPTURED!!!!!!!
Sound is quite good. I like the option of changing your attack sound-effects through badges. The music is also quite good. I really like how it adds feeling and effect to the game.
This is a very good game, and I praise Nintendo for it, yet I still feel, it could've been a little better.
