The graphics in this game are stunning! (For N64 at least!) Some may say that the N64 expasion pak didn't do anything...WRONG THEY ARE! If you compare this to the Ocarina of Time, well, there's a ton more polygons, in everything! Take Link's sword...In the first he only had maybe 50 polygons in it. Now, he's got try 70-90! Also his hair, it's not just jagged triangles, it is more rounded with less jagged edges. All his weapons are shinier and neater looking than Ocarina's. (Not that Ocarina is bad, it was SWEET! It's graphics rocked too! Compare Link's graphics to that of Mario's. There's a big difference!) Any way, the graphics are nothing less than amazing and I give them a ten.
Gameplay is very nice. It is smooth and continous. Everything flows. I also, like the puzzles, adventure, and mini-games. You may think, "OH NO!! THEY ONLY GIVE YAH 3 DAYS BEFORE IT'S ALL OVER! HOW AM I GONNA EXPLORE!!!!" That's not the case though, infact that's quite the opposite! Once, you get the ocarina, you can manipulate time, and it's as if, they didn't even set a time limit! Overall, gameplay is undisputidly GREAT!
Story is um well... a hit! I love it! To tell you the truth, I was worried when I heard Link wouldn't even be in Hyrule! But, that Nintendo has done it again! The story is great, and totally origianal. Sure Link's in a whole different dimesion, but hey! that makes it all the more fun! It's a great story, and I think all Zelda fans need a break from the pattern once in a while! I think everyone loves this story!
Sound is excellent! I love that crisp shinnn when Link draws his sword from it's sheath! It's cool. Most of the sfx have been recycled, but, hey they're still cool! Some of the music was too, but that just makes it nice, remembering the first time you heard it on Ocarina. One cool advantage of the expansion pak, is that there is some voice when you speak to people, and I think that makes the game more realistic!
All in all...
All in all, this game deserves every ten in the world! Nintendo, you've done it again! Congrats on the best game of the year!
